-CONSEJOS PARA MUJERES VIAJERAS / -TIPS FOR WOMEN TRAVELERS

“Viajo solo con la inestimable compañía de mi cámara de fotos haciendo modestos reportajes. He visitado numerosos países, con algunos contratiempos, siempre salvables. Acompañada por mi ángel de la guarda, nunca encontré los peligros de los que me hablaron.”

Desde el siglo IV, el de la abadesa Egeria, santa patrona de los trotamundos,  hay datos de mujeres exploradoras y aventureras que viajaron solas.

Viajar sola te obliga a agudizar tu ingenio, aumentar tu atención y observar  más detenidamente todo lo que te rodea.
¿Qué edad tienes?...perfecta para embarcarte en la gran aventura de hacer un viaje en solitario.¿De cuanto dinero dispones?...suficiente.

Soltad amarras! y aventuraros a pasar unos días lejos de la seguridad del hogar, de las personas y el entorno que os protege y que a veces os encadena. Será sin duda el viaje mas intenso que hagáis.

El mundo, es un lugar maravilloso para explorar y aprender, observar la naturaleza e interactuar con ella, te llenará de energía, de fuerza y de salud.

Si os decidís a viajar solas, hay que tener en cuenta una serie de reglas básicas:

-Lleva siempre los documentos en regla, con la fecha de expiración posterior a seis meses del fin de viaje. Haz una fotocopia de todo y guárdala  aparte.

-Antes de viajar a cualquier país, infórmate de los teléfonos de las embajadas y fuerzas de seguridad, las costumbres y sobre todo el papel de la mujer en esa sociedad.

-Vacúnate. En Sanidad exterior, te pondrán al día de todo lo necesario y viajaras con la cartilla internacional de vacunación.

- Lleva un pequeño botiquín contigo, con lo básico que puedas necesitar según el país que visites y siempre, bebe agua embotellada.

- Hablar idiomas es básico para visitar según que países, y salvo que vayas en un viaje organizado, “conocimientos básicos”, no te será suficiente si te detienen los gendarmes en medio del desierto y te piden explicaciones sobre tu destino, o si tienes que explicar al médico que no eres alérgica a nada si te da un brote de malaria en Uganda. Aunque es cierto que las mujeres tenemos mayor facilidad de comunicación y sonreímos con mas facilidad

-Lleva algo de moneda de origen del país al que te diriges, aunque el euro y el dólar casi siempre son bienvenidos, en ciertos países, no son aceptados.
-Hazte un seguro, viajarás mucho mas tranquila. Asegúrate de leer la letra pequeña, porque hay países que están excuídos de cobertura.
-No cargues la maleta de cosas innecesarias,recuerda que solo tú cargarás con ella. Solo lo imprescindible.

Abre tu mente. Tienes que volverte flexible, las mujeres no están consideradas igual según en que sociedades. Lo que hoy y aquí tiene valor legal y moral, en otro lugar, puede no tenerlo en absoluto. Se cautelosa y observadora. En el transporte público, siéntate siempre cerca de los grupos de mujeres y niños.

Ten en cuenta que en general, cualquier situación a la que te tengas que enfrentar, si pones la serenidad y la seguridad en ti misma por delante, tienes el éxito muy cercano.

Seguro que en algún momento, hemos pensado en hacer ese viaje, que llevamos en mente largo tiempo y que no logramos llevar a cabo, posponiendo y posponiendo como si fuéramos a vivir eternamente.
